Your data.
Your perspective.
FitProof keeps your health logs on your device by default. Account services, food searches and optional trainer sharing are explained below.
Who operates FitProof
FitProof is provided by SoftCode Design Inc. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@softcodedesign.com. This notice covers the FitProof iPhone app and this website.
Health information stays local by default
Food logs, body measurements, Apple Health readings, food photos, voice transcripts and AI analysis are processed on-device and are not uploaded to the FitProof account database. Workout logs also stay local unless you explicitly connect a trainer and enable the sharing described below. Device and cloud backups are controlled by your Apple settings; local storage does not mean those backups are disabled.
On-device food search and intelligence
The bundled food catalog, nutrition-label recognition, and local food-analysis features work on your device. FitProof does not send your health logs to an external AI provider. Advanced language features depend on compatible hardware, software, language, and the availability of the on-device model. Nutrition estimates should be reviewed before saving.
If you choose Search more foods, your search text is sent to Open Food Facts to retrieve results. This does not send your diary, Apple Health readings or account details. The service may process ordinary connection information under its own privacy policy. Food photos and label scans are not sent with that search.
Apple Health is optional
FitProof uses HealthKit to read permitted activity, steps, exercise, sleep, bodyweight, dietary energy and workout records. Readiness has a separate opt-in for heart-rate variability and resting heart rate. Confirmed food nutrients, bodyweight, manual steps and explicitly logged blood pressure can be saved with permission. Apple Watch workouts use HealthKit to record workouts, energy and available heart-rate samples. FitProof does not use CareKit.
You choose the categories FitProof can access. The app remains usable without Health permissions. Review permissions in the Health app under your profile, Apps, FitProof. Turning off phone sync does not delete Health records or revoke permissions in Apple's Health app. Apple Health data is not sent to advertising, analytics or the trainer database.
Sign-in and your account
Firebase Authentication handles account sign-in, including the email address, account identifier, and sign-in-provider information required for that service. If you sign in with Apple or Google, that provider also processes the sign-in under its own policies.
FitProof's account and coaching database is hosted in Toronto, Canada. Your account profile stores your account identifier, preferred weight unit, account role, schema version, and creation/update timestamps. Meals, bodyweight and Apple Health readings are not stored there. Toronto is the database location, not a promise that all authentication or hosting services operate only in Canada.
Optional trainer connection
A trainer can create programs, issue invitation codes and assign program copies to connected clients. Accepting an invitation with sharing enabled sends your chosen display name and completed exercise names, sets, reps and loads to Firestore. Only workouts logged after connection are shared. Trainers cannot edit your completed sets. Food, bodyweight, heart rate, photos, voice transcripts and raw movement recordings are not included.
You can decline an invitation or disable sharing. Disconnecting removes the trainer's access to your shared progress once the change is saved online. Copies a person has already exported or recorded cannot be remotely erased. Account deletion removes your coaching records and shared workout copies from FitProof's database.
Watch, camera and motion
WatchConnectivity exchanges FitProof summaries and workout state with your paired Apple Watch. Optional camera and wrist movement analysis runs on-device; raw camera and wrist recordings are not sent to FitProof's servers. Rep estimates may be inaccurate and can be corrected before saving. A workout backup you choose to export contains exercise names, dates, sets, reps and loads; sharing the file sends that information to the recipient you choose.
Purchases are handled by Apple
FitProof Pro uses Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple handles payment information, and FitProof uses verified StoreKit transactions to determine subscription access. FitProof does not store payment-card details in Firebase. Monthly and annual plans are offered inside the app. TestFlight purchases use Apple's testing environment and do not represent production billing.
This website
This website does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts. It does not collect food logs or health information. Its hosting providers may process ordinary technical information, such as your IP address and request details, to deliver and secure the website. No account or payment form is offered here.
Optional features and information you choose to share
Microphone and speech permissions support voice logging. Camera and photo permissions support food or label recognition. Calendar access lets you add focus plans to Apple Calendar. Notification permission supports reminders and alarms. You control these permissions in iOS Settings. If you send a support email or TestFlight feedback, the information you include is shared with the relevant email or feedback service and used to help resolve your request. Please avoid sending health records, passwords, or payment details.
Retention and deletion
Local entries remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app's data. Account and coaching records remain while the account and connections exist. Delete account is under Settings → Account & sign-in → Delete account. It confirms your identity, deletes your Firebase sign-in, account profile and coaching records, and removes that account's local FitProof data on the current iPhone.
Deletion does not remove records already in Apple Health or Apple Calendar, copies on other devices, or device backups. It does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage subscriptions separately in your Apple Account. Contact info@softcodedesign.com for help. Service-provider security logs and backups may remain subject to their retention policies.
Your choices and requests
You can edit or delete individual entries and revoke permissions at any time. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account information held by FitProof. We may need to verify that you control the account before acting. We do not sell health information or use it for advertising.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page as the service changes and show the revision date above. Material changes to how your information is used will be explained before you use the affected feature.
